First Fold is a freelance copywriting service operated by Horace, specializing in homepage and hero copy rewrites.

Use of the Website

By accessing firstfold.pro, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and agree to use this website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

• Violate any applicable local, provincial, national, or international law
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the website
• Use the site to transmit harmful, offensive, or unlawful content
• Reproduce, scrape, or redistribute website content without written consent

Services & Pricing

First Fold offers homepage and hero copy rewriting at a flat rate of $200 CAD per project. The service includes:

• A complete rewrite of your above-the-fold / hero section copy
• One (1) round of revisions based on your feedback
• Delivery of final copy in a mutually agreed-upon format

Service descriptions on this website are provided for informational purposes and may be updated at any time. Scope, pricing, and deliverables for any project are confirmed in writing before work begins.

Payment Terms

Payment is structured as follows:

Accepted payment methods: Interac e-Transfer and PayPal. Work will not commence until the initial deposit is received. Final deliverables are released upon receipt of the remaining balance.

Revisions & Scope

Each project includes one (1) round of revisions at no additional cost. A revision round consists of a single set of consolidated feedback submitted by the client after the first draft is delivered.

Additional revision rounds or requests that expand the original scope (e.g., writing copy for additional pages or sections not initially agreed upon) may incur additional fees, which will be communicated and agreed upon before any extra work begins.

Intellectual Property & Ownership

Upon receipt of full payment, the client receives complete ownership and all rights to the final delivered copy. The client is free to use, modify, and publish the copy without restriction.

Until full payment is received, all drafts and deliverables remain the intellectual property of First Fold. Unpaid work may not be used, published, or distributed in any form.

First Fold reserves the right to display anonymized or non-confidential excerpts of completed work in portfolio samples, unless the client requests otherwise in writing.

Client Content & Responsibilities

The client is responsible for providing accurate information, brand guidelines, and any source materials needed to complete the project. By submitting content to First Fold, you confirm that you have the right to share it and grant First Fold a limited license to use it solely for the purpose of completing the agreed-upon work.

First Fold is not responsible for verifying the accuracy of claims, statistics, or information provided by the client.

Limitation of Liability

First Fold provides copywriting services on an as-is basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, First Fold shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from or related to:

• The use or inability to use the delivered copy
• Loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities
• Errors or omissions in the website or delivered materials
• Any interruption or inability to access the website

Total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by the client for the specific project in question.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless First Fold and its operator from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the website, your breach of these terms, or your use of delivered copy in a manner that infringes upon or violates the rights of any third party.

Privacy Policy

Your use of this website and any information you provide are also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using this site or engaging our services, you consent to the practices described therein.
